HOW LONG DOES A TOUR LAST? - About 90 minutes generally, but shorter tours can be negotiated. If you have time constraints, let us know. You'll walk about one-half mile on level ground.

WHEN DO THE TOURS START? - By appointment, at our mutual convenience.

WHERE DO I MEET THE GUIDE? - Next to the Billy the Kid-era Cabin, on the grounds of the Silver City-Grant County Visitors Center, at the corner of Broadway and Hudson in Silver City. We can meet elsewhere if you prefer.

HOW BIG ARE THE TOURS? - Anywhere from one to ten people. More than ten presents logistical problems posed by narrow sidewalks, traffic noise, and wavering attention. Motorized tours can be arranged.

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT? - No, however the tour is geared to adults with an interest in local history and architecture, topics that are boring to most children and teenagers.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING? - A hat, sunglasses,comfortable walking shoes — and your sense of curiosity and adventure.

WHAT WILL I SEE? - Much of the historical core of downtown Silver City, with many buildings dating from the early mining and ranching boom era of 1870-1890. See the "tour descriptions" section for more details and "pictures and maps" for pertinent images.
