Let's go for a walk...

...And discover the best little mining town in New Mexico, strolling with a professional local guide and storyteller. Our guided walking tours are the best way to learn about Silver City's unique history as one of the most colorful and prosperous communities in the Old West.

Downtown is a living museum of architectural styles, ranging from traditional Pueblo-style adobe to fancy Queen Anne Victorian and Depression-era Art Deco. In the 1870s Silver City hosted such legendary personalities as Geronimo, Billy the Kid, and Judge Roy Bean. Later it became a healing center for tuberculosis patients and the site of one of the state's first universities.

Silver City is reinventing itself once again as a center of arts and culture, home to dozens of galleries and scores of talented artists, writers, and craftworkers. The benign climate and small-town friendliness also have made it a new home for retirees and "location neutral" entrepreneurs.

Here's what people are saying about the tour:

"Excellent!" — Judy, Fountain Hills, AZ

"I learned so much about my hometown!" — Ann, Silver City

"It was fantastic; a great way to start Labor Day!" — Kathy and Mike, Tucson

"Highly recommended." — Mary Kay, Gloucester, MA.

"A superb tour; we learned so many things we never would have discovered any other way."  — Frannie and David, Albuquerque

"I loved it!" — Wendy, Dallas

"The stories about quirky characters were amazing!" — Yana, Santa Fe
